Goa....Finally my dream of going to Goa materialized........ and my happiness knew no bounds.Myself along with few of my friends decided to go to Goa on 24th Jan 2009 weekend ,that being a long weekend we thought would be the best time to go to GOA .We were 7 of us,3 gals and 4 guys and for each one of us it was the first ever trip to Goa,so the air was full of enthusiasm. Our journey started on 24th ,we had booked tickets in Goa express ,through out the journey we played dumsherads and cards and kept on hogging.
We reached Vasco next day morning. The moment we came out of station we were surrounded by cab drivers,we took a cab and were on our way to Panji, the drive from Vasco to Panji was simply amazing.I still can remember the sun rising and those lovely beaches and coconut trees. The freshness in the air rejuvenated us .
After freshening up we headed to go towards Calangute beach, the moment we reached Calangute beach we found a huge crowd.People para sailing ,riding on motor boats ,kids playing around. The feeling then was simply great. We took a package for water sports and were waiting impatiently ,and finally it was our turn and we wore our life saving jackets.
The first water sport was thunder where they asked us to sit on a float and pulled it
using a motor boat, when the waves hit our float we would just bounce like balls .Then the next ride was the most adventurous one,the "Banana Ride".This was a ride where a banana shaped rider having sitting capacity of 6-7 people is towed using a motor boat and when people sitting on it start enjoying the ride they suddenly tumble them down ,it is the most fun filled ride.I still recall how my roomie panicked when they tossed us into the sea for the first time and later when we were seated and were just adjusting ourselves they tossed us again down for the second time.I can bet that even now if she thinks of this ride a chill may run down her spine. The next ride was motor boat ride which was just a 5 minute ride and we didn't have anything to do as it was controlled by an expert.
Then came para sailing, after waiting for a long time finally a boat came and we all boarded into it,they took us right in the middle of the sea and then asked us to get into another boat which had the parachute for it,I was eagerly waiting for my turn and then there I was flying and the view from there was simply awesome, how I wished if they could have kept the ride for a longer.
After all this we were pretty tired and hungry,we headed to one of the restaurants and ordered food ,we had some spicy sea food which I must say was Yummy. After having food we headed to Baga beach which was near about 30 mins from Calangute (by walk) by the time we reached there it was almost 5 pm ,we all just plunged into the water and played for an hour or so,saw the sunset out there took some snaps and then planned to do someshopping. But looking at the exorbitant charges ,we hardly bought anything and just roamed about in the market.Later we decided to have our dinner from there and then head back to Panji.

Next day around 10:30 we started from Panji and planned to go to Aguada fort of DCH fame ,on our way we visited the beach near it,again an amazing beach and then climbed the fort which took near about 10 mins, once we were up we took some snaps in DCH style stayed there for 10 mins and were back as we had to reach Vasco in time to catch our train.
The station was around 30 mins drive from the Aguada beach, and then were again back on the railway station, discussing about the trip and wishing if it had got extended ...On our way back in the train we finally came up with a conclusion that one and half day is less for a place like Goa ,famous for its 5 B's (sure of just three though ;Beaches,Babes,Booze) should definitely visit it again .
